I have enjoyed the art of stained glass for over 10 years. I have been truly blessed as a Christian artist, knowing God has enabled me to have the greatest adventure I could have ever thought possible! Over the years, I have been honored to create many sentimental gifts, family heirlooms, commemorative pieces in memory of loved ones and beloved animals, special anniversaries, and the celebration of new life. I am thankful every day for the people who have had confidence in me to create something special for them.
God has also enabled me to teach numerous students from ages 10 to 75 years old learn the art of stained glass and receive the gift of watching these students create a beautiful piece of art! The joyous surprise and amazement in their eyes when they finally see their masterpiece held up to the light for the first time, is priceless!
This incredible journey started with this great man, my dad, Henry Vanden Berg. After a career in carpentry his hands never stayed idle. In his late 70's he took up the art of stained glass while living in a retirement community in Naples, FL. It was upon visiting him, my dad began to teach me and I immediately fell in love with the art and Carol's glass shop was born. I am beyond blessed to have received such a gift from my dad. I hope someday to teach the next generation in our family to do the same.
I have created this website to give you an idea of the type of work I do. Using the Tiffany method of copper foil technique, my work includes all kinds of styles including but not limited to; traditional, contemporary, Victorian, vintage, farmhouse, antique, prairie, southwest, wildlife and floral, scenic and beveled glass. My pieces can be a simple table decoration or unique glass panel to the restoration of a 40 year old stained glass that had been laying on a garage shelf for 30 years. Variety is the spice of life and I love a challenge!
Most all of the work I have created has started with a customer’s own idea / request to make a stained glass piece. I do not have a store or stained glass pieces in stock. Each piece I create is tailor-made for each customer.
So, maybe you have an idea to put a personal decorative touch in your home. Or maybe you are considering a special gift for your parent, grandparents, friend or other family member for a special occasion. It all starts with an idea and I would love to help make your own personal idea come true!
If you don’t have a specific idea and you happen to see something special on the website, all of the pieces pictured on this website can be reproduced and customized to your preference. I have hundreds of glass samples and all work is computer generated so you will know exactly how it will look and how much it will cost beforehand. Then of course, there is always the option to take lessons and create it yourself in the LaGlassTee Creations glass shop! New students are always welcome!
